[ This fool. Jayce just sighs in response to what he says. Jayce fought so hard to be at Viktor's side that of course he wasn't about to give it up. Jayce doesn't think he's hidden anything from Viktor, either. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He thinks his feelings about the man are obvious. ]

Then we'll have to go home.

[ He wraps his fingers around the fabric of the makeshift cape, tugging Viktor down, towards him. ]

No public shows. I'm not sharing. [ Whisper. He's pent up. He's frustrated and has been dealing with this for months. And while initially they stayed apart here, ever since Viktor returned to their home and the lab, Jayce has gotten increasingly frustrated. Sorry, Viktor. ]

[ They are feelings that Viktor himself is not exactly unaware of, after all, they were both terrible at hiding their emotions at the best of times. He has seen it, that longing, but Viktor had been keeping his distance in the hopes that perhaps it might fade. In his pursuit of trying to figure it out, he had accidentally opened the flooded gates. His miscalculation will definitely cost him now.

There is noise that comes from Viktor that is entirely foreign to them both. A mixture of a sigh and a whine. ]

Very well, Jayce. Let us return home.

[ Jayce blinks at the noise, pausing for a moment before he shifts, his grip tightening on the fabric of that blanket cape. And that's when Jayce tugs, using it as a way to lead Viktor to their house. Honestly, he's not sure what to anticipate when he finally gets to have the intimacy he's missed. ]

[ It's a question, but he doesn't know if he expects an answer to actually come from Viktor. After all, Jayce is already leading him home by the cape anyway. He sees no sense in hesitating or pacing himself. ]

[ Jayce is right. Viktor doesn't say anything in response; his allowing Jayce to guide him by the cape should be sufficient to understand that he will follow the other back home.

But when they are finally in front of their home, Viktor will stop. ]

I must apologize for making you wait so long. [ There were simply far too many things that he was trying to work through alone that really delayed all of this. ]

[ Jayce tugs at his cape, pulling Viktor towards him and pressing a kiss to that metal. As cool and inhuman as it feels, Jayce knows it's Viktor and that is warmth for him. ]

Then apologize properly, Viktor. [ A nudge of the door, taking a step inside. He doesn't pull this time, he'll let Viktor follow. ] Apologize for second guessing how I feel. I made the choice I did because I'd rather die with you than live without you.
